Research Associate I, Neuroscience, Cell Biology & Anatomy (PBL work up to 19hrs per wk)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maintains lab operations. May investigate complaints regarding lab services, equipment, and/or capabilities. Cellular and molecular lab techniques are required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no laboratory lab experience required.
SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES:
Perform molecular biology-based experiments. Manages the operation of a research laboratories. Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment, chemicals, and other materials. Estimates personnel needs to obtain lab and research objectives.
- Molecular cell biological techniques.
- Viral production.
- Data management and archive.
- Management of instruments and shared facilities.
- Coordinate inter-lab research collaborations.
SALARY RANGE:
Commensurate with experience.
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication skills via phone and email.
- Strong writing skills, be able to handle scientific reports, protocols, paper publications and grant budgeting plan.
- Basic managing skills.
Work Schedule
- Work up to 19hours per wk/ no benefits
