Postdoctoral Fellow, Neurology
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and perform experiments independently
- Prepare lab reports
- Write protocol
- Interacts with graduate students
- Capable of presenting data at meeting
- Independently develop and execute complex experimental designs within ongoing projects
- Familiarity with “omics” techniques and methodologies. Skills in large data set analysis highly desirable
- Good knowledge of basic and advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques
- Collect, quality control and prepare data for interpretation and discussion
- Prepare research manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Present results at national and international conferences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in biomedical sciences Scientific research experience.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
