Maternal and Child Specialist, Ob/Gyn General Outreach - School of Medicine
Essential Job Functions:
Provide primary health care to the patient and family throughout the course of care. Use the processes of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide care that integrates the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient and family. Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client and family. Plan, develop, coordinate, and provide appropriate health education and counseling in response to patient needs. Contribute to the advancement of their profession, seek to ensure high quality care within the RMCHP, and demonstrate leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all clients and their families. Responsible for the health care provided and will utilize age specific developmental principles when providing care. Provide competent, age specific health care to women and children in the Regional Maternal and Child Health care program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current recognition or the ability to be recognized as Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant in Texas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's in Nursing or Master's in Physican Assistant studies; Licensed Nurse Practioner.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
