Epic Cogito Administrator (Software Systems Specialist IV) - IS-Business Intelligence (Galveston)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and five years related experience or a double Master’s with a degree in computer science and one year’s related experience.
JOB DUTIES:
The Software System Specialist IV is responsible for supporting our Epic Cogito Suite - including Epic Clarity and Epic Caboodle - along with some Reporting. This will include monitoring and troubleshooting extract jobs, resolving data issues, managing system configurations, applying upgrades and SUs, creating and scheduling reports, developing integrations, and managing security.
The Software System Specialist IV will participate in UTMB Epic meetings, collaborate with business and technology areas to document/review requirements, participate in project planning activities, resolve data and scheduling issues, define deliverables, and develop solutions that meet the customer's needs.
This staff member will be considered an expert in Clarity Administration and eager to fill the knowledge gap in unfamiliar areas.
- Monitor Clarity and Caboodle data extraction (ETL) jobs
- Correct Clarity and Caboodle data extraction (ETL) errors
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve Clarity and Caboodle data errors
- Maintain Epic Cogito console servers
- Apply Epic SU’s and full upgrades to the Clarity and Caboodle environments
- Configure and expand Caboodle Data Model Components to meet enterprise analytical needs
- Configure SlicerDicer related access and security
- Make technical recommendations related to application upgrades
- Duplicate and configure Epic Release Reporting Workbench templates
- Review Reporting Workbench template impacts due to Epic SU’s or Epic full upgrades
- Create and manage custom Reporting Workbench template changes
- Manage custom Reporting Workbench template security
- Troubleshoot Reporting Workbench issues.
- Monitor long running Reporting Workbench reports.
- Maintain Business Objects server
- Configure Epic Crystal Integration (ECI) Reporting Workbench templates for Clarity reports
- Monitor ECI reports for timeliness, efficiency, and failures
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
SALARY RANGE:
$93,231 - $127,116. Actual salary commensurate with experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of Clarity Administration experience
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years Epic Cogito suite experience
- 5+ years experience with applying Epic SU’s and Releases to Clarity and Caboodle environments
- Familiar with Oracle and SQL Server environments
- Familiar with Business Objects and Crystal Reporting
- Ability to facilitate meetings
- Ability to learn new technologies in both self-paced and instructor lead environments
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
